Why it’s listed
As a community benefit society it 'can never be bought by a commercial operator' and surpluses go back to the community or the network (1). It started in 2011 with a local volunteer group and a community share offer, and has connected 15,700 customers (June 2026) (2). Community buildings get a free service and there's a social tariff (3).
