Consent-O-Matic
consentomatic.au.dk ↗Consent-O-Matic is a free browser extension that fills in cookie consent pop-ups with the choices you set once.
Why it’s listed
It's for anyone tired of clicking through banners designed to make 'no' hard.
It's listed because it comes from researchers at Aarhus University, targets the 'dark patterns' in consent pop-ups, and 'does not process any personal data'1. It's open source and on Firefox, Chrome and Safari1. About 133,000 people use it on Firefox2.
The trade-off
It only works on pop-up types it knows, and releases are slow (last one June 2025).
